Eric, in Charlaine Harris’s Dead to the World

For some reason, this sentence is one I find really moving. Charlaine has her moments! I also think that this is an instance in which the show reflects the spirit of the books.

Alexander the lovely said in his commentary to episode 4x04 something like — and I am paraphrasing: Eric is “discovering who he really is” in season 4 — learning his name in an even deeper way.

I love Eric Northman. I can’t wait to see who he is in season 5.
